Lansoprazole is the second proton pump inhibitor approved as an antiulcer agent for the short term treatment of duodenal ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Like omeprazole, lansoprazole is reported to be more efficacious than the H2-antagonists in treating peptic ulcer disease.
1. Treatment of ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, and NSAID-induced ulcers.
2. Adjunctive treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection, alongside antibiotics. Treatment to kill Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) causing ulcers or other problems involves using two other drugs besides lansoprazole.
3. Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (also known as acid reflux disease).
4. Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
Recommended Storage:
Lansoprazole is recommended to store it in a cool, dry place, sealed from outside air. We ship the product in a double sealed bag which can be resealed. Another container is recommended sealing from outside air.
